Stoller Works

Modern, Eco-Conscious Furniture

Thanks to family friends like the Eameses, George Nakashima, and Alexander Calder, Evan Stoller grew up surrounded by modern design. Now he runs Stoller Works and makes pieces of his own. His tables, podiums, and organizers mix the natural beauty of wood with aluminum and steel, creating a warm yet industrial feel.

Tracy Glover Studio | Fizzy Drinks!

Fizzy Drinks

Glassblower Tracy Glover premieres a line of playful glassware ideal for summer entertaining. Titled Fizzy Drinks, the handblown tumbler and double old fashioned styles exploit the traditional Italian Primavera technique, and build the bubbles right in.

The tall tumbler (6.25″H x 2 7/8″ diameter) and double old fashioned glass (4″H x 3.25″ diameter) are each offered in six translucent colors, darker at the base and organically lightening toward the lip. The surface is animated with bubbles, a reference to carbonation as well as to the aquatic inspiration for the design (see next paragraph). Colorways: Berry, Light Blue, Celery, Emerald, Sargasso, Turquoise, Steel Blue. Suggested retail price: $53 each.

The artist is an avid oarsman, rowing daily at dawn. Occasionally she takes her skiff to the edge of Pawtucket Falls to watch the lively foam and froth generated by the waterfall. At winter time, the water freezes, and she can break off slivers of bubbly ice, which spurred her to interpret the effect as a drinking glass.

LMNOP Spring Volunteer Day:
Sandy Recovery Project
We are pleased to announce that LMNOP will be hosting a Spring Volunteer Day on April 20th! For this event we are partnering with IIDA NY.  Similar to our January efforts, we will be assisting in a Sandy Recovery Project, this time working in the heavily damaged areas of Staten Island. This is an all day event, organized and operated by The New Hope Community Church on Staten Island and Calvary Baptist Church of Manhattan.  We can get there by public transportation or drive there.  Lunch will be provided but bring water, snacks, etc. and wear work clothes.
If you are interested in participating please respond to info@lmnopnyc.org. There will be a variety of work for everyone but please let us know if you have experience in any sort of construction work or can cook or provide general assistance.
Registration is required, and further information will follow.
Please join us in this effort!
