Japanese Textile Inspirations



Working as an independent sales representative for smaller companies like Sina Pearson Textiles has its unique benefits. Sina Pearson and her husband, Art Simmons, travel for inspiration and other business related activities. They recently spent 13 days traveling throughout Japan. Sina shared their experiences by sending us amazing journal entries and photographs. (She gave me permission to use her photos in this blog.) As an interior designer and naturally creative person the pictures logged by Sina create a visual kaleidoscope of what textile designs may be to come in her line. Interestingly the textures, lines, and color in these cultural photos are seen differently by all that view them. I am anxious to see what the famous textile designer finds in these photos! The architecture and designs in the Japanese culture are pleasing to me. I see the architecture as textured vertical and horizontal lines with the organic landscape as its decoration…
