Above is the C3 Design finished quilt for the IIDA Sustainable Quilt Auction. Again, sorry for the photography, but better images of this and all of the others will follow. The auction is being held at Openhouse Gallery at 201 Mulberry Street 12.15.10, it should be loads of fun. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.iidany.org
Hope to see you there.
Not my finest photography, but this is the quilt in process for the IIDA NY Sustainable Quilting Bee. The date for the auction is 12.15.10 and it is to be held at:
Openhouse Gallery | 201 Mulberry Street | NYC, NY 10012 | http://www.openhousegallery.org
Now I have to get to work and finish it.
Recently finished silk table runner, made from Jim Thompson silks.
These are bags we have posted on our Etsy Site http://www.c3design.etsy.com . They were made from the scraps of the Sustainable Quilting Bee fabric.
Below is an image from last years Sustainable Quilting Bee. It is a programn through the IIDA NY Chapter to re-purpose the mountains of textiles that get used as samples and then thrown away. We meet once a month and at the end of each year have an auction with the proceeds going to a related charity. The ’09 Auction had twelve quilts from various design and architecture firms, like Moudis, GKV and Perkins + Will.
